Home Sleep Study is a simplified version of an overnight sleep study conducted in the comfort of a patient’s home. It is primarily used to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea a disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep due to airway obstruction. During the study, the patient wears a small monitoring device that records key physiological data such as: * **Airflow and breathing effort** * **Oxygen saturation (SpO₂)** * **Heart rate and pulse** * **Snoring and body position** The data is later analyzed by a sleep technologist or sleep specialist to determine the presence and severity of sleep-disordered breathing.
